In accordance with the Emergency Management Alberta the Town of Manning and County of Northern Lights has established a Municipal Emergency Management Agency. The Disaster Services Joint Agency develops and co-ordinates an overall municipal program of preparedness for, response to, and recovery from, emergencies and disasters as well as assisting other municipalities to develop and maintain a high level of emergency preparedness.
The Town of Manning & County of Northern Lights has mutual aid agreements with surrounding municipalities for fire protection.
The County of Northern Lights & Town of Manning have a Director of Emergency Management.
